an equal opportunity as failure
and regret — it’s up to us what we
choose to achieve and entertain.
The problem is that we let it affect
us for too long, especially failure.
We often waste our precious time
regretting our unsuccessful performances.
Our mind keeps on
churning its wheels, reminiscing
about the past. “Oh! If I hadn’t
done it this way but the other way
around, I could have got it right,
why didn’t I do this? Why didn’t this
thought strike me at that crucial
moment?” — thoughts on these
lines come to our mind.
This doesn’t mean that we should
stop regretting what we did, but that
the feeling should soon end as well. If
we are planning to waste our whole
time regretting, then in a way we’re
ensuring a complementary plan to
fail in our next big step too. So the
idea is to keep that in mind and just
move on, because life doesn’t end
in just one wreck. Never lose hope,
forgive and give yourself another
chance. The lesson to learn here is
to let regret give way to a resolution
that one must start working on.
This way, we’re sure to get another
chance, sooner or later, and we
may succeed in what we failed in
an earlier attempt. Life always gives
us a second chance — it’s up to us
to make use of it. But this too does
not mean that we keep wandering in
our future, sure that life itself will
carve out a path for us. We have to do
our part — that’s our job. So, don’t
just declare your plans and wait for
an outcome. We should start planning
well in advance and only then
will we eventually succeed. Work
towards our goals and do not delay
what we have scheduled for today,
because delaying might be our biggest
mistake and push us towards failure.
